Citrine carries the Energy of the Sun: warm, abundant, prosperous, and confident. Always positive, Citrine promotes mental clarity and vitality and connects to higher forces of intelligence. One of only two stones which cannot hold negativity. This is one of the great “Energy Stones” in all areas of endeavor. Citrine is basically the same as Amethyst but formed at a higher temperature - over 500 Centigrade. sometimes if the energy is hovering around 500 you can get Amethyst and Citrine forming in the same piece - this is called Ametrine. Much of the Citrine you see - especially the more vibrant oranges - has been heated artificially - I find it still works but the natural is more mellow.
